Things I've made....

Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE to scrapbook. But since getting my first Cricut machine for Christmas in 2007, I've moved on from just making scrapbook pages! Most of the inspiration for the things below have come from the cricut.com messageboard. It is full of so many ideas....it can be almost overwhelming at times. The following are a few of the non-scrapbooking things I've made over the last few months....thanks for looking!

I made a vow to only send handmade cards this year....no Hallmark for me in 2009! These are some of the ones I've made recently. I made the purse at the top for my mother-in-laws birthday....and no I did not give her that VS gift card! I just used that as a template so I could properly measure the pocket.

These altered clocks are so easy to do. The clock is about $4 from Walmart...it's the top picture. It comes apart so you can change the face. The "2 at a time" clock is in my scraproom. The "Inspire" clock was a gift I made for my friend M.C. for Christmas. All of the numbers, words and images were cut with my cricut of course!

I love using my cricut to cut vinyl words. It's so easy and vinyl is great because it won't damage the paint or the walls. I made these two for my scraproom.

Layout challenge from the cricut message board

Someone posts a challenge weekly on the cricut message board. If I like it, it inspires me to try my own interpretation of it. Above is the one from 2/18/09.

Valentine's Day

There was a great LO challenge on the cricut message board...this is my interpretation of the sketch.

My Scrapbox - the best thing EVER!

I first saw the Scrapbox at a Scrapbook Expo in Orlando last March. I brought home a brochure, hung it on the fridge with a post-it note that said "Mother's Day is May 11!" Brian saw an opportunity to buy me ONE thing that would cover all the holidays in one year....
My scrapbook room is really the loft in our upstairs and it doesn't have a door. So anyone walking up the stairs would get to see the mismatch of old furniture and storage that I kept all my scrapbook supplies in. Stuff was everywhere and it looked messy. The nice thing about the Scrapbox is that it closes and locks....which keeps everything organized and little fingers out!
Actually these pictures were taken back in October....the room has changed a little since then and the Scrapbox definitely has more stuff in it now!
